Ingredients:

• 4-5 potatoes, peeled and chopped
• 1 tbsp butter
• Salt and black pepper
• 30ml hot milk

Method:

1. Place the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil.

2. Reduce heat and boil gently for 15-20 minutes. Drain well.

3. Mash the potatoes until smooth. Add butter and season with salt and pepper.

4. Continue mashing and gradually add the milk to make the potato mash smooth and creamy.
