Recipe: Caramelised Onions
Time: 35 mins
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 large yellow onions, sliced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1-2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over low heat. Add the onions with a pinch of salt and cook for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
2. Add the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar and cook for 5-10 minutes, leaving it on low heat. Stir occasionally until sticky and caramelised.
