Tangerines

Tangerines are small citrus fruits that belong to the mandarin orange family. They have a slightly flattened shape, distinctively bumpy rind, and are typically smaller compared to other oranges.

Recipe: Tangerine Cake

Time: 35 mins

Ingredients: 

• 2 eggs
• 2-3 tangerines with peel, halved and deseeded
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 cups self-raising flour

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Lightly grease and flour your cake tin.

2. Place the eggs, tangerines, oil and sugar in a blender and blend.

3. Add the flour to a medium bowl and pour the blended mix into the flour. Mix well.

4. Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.

5. Let it cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the tin.
