Brie Mon Sire
Available from the Delicatessen Counter by Charcuterie Suzanne at Arkadia Foodstore Gozo and Portomaso.

Background
Brie Mon Sire is a distinguished French cheese renowned for its creamy texture and delicate flavour profile. Crafted in the Île-de-France region, it upholds centuries-old cheese-making traditions. Made from cow's milk, it matures for several weeks, developing a velvety white rind with a subtle earthy aroma. Its interior unveils a supple, ivory-coloured paste that melts luxuriously on the palate. With a mild yet nuanced taste, it offers notes of butter, mushrooms, and nuts, culminating in a rich and satisfying experience.

Pairing
Choosing the right complementary accompaniments for Brie Mon Sire enhances its exquisite flavours. Its creamy texture and mild taste make it versatile for pairing. Enjoy it with crisp apples or ripe pears for a delightful contrast of textures and flavours. Crackers or crusty bread provide a satisfying crunch that complements the cheese's smoothness. For a savoury twist, pair Brie Mon Sire with cured meats like prosciutto or salami. Its subtle earthy notes also harmonize beautifully with honey or fig jam, adding a touch of sweetness to each bite. To elevate the experience further, serve with a glass of champagne or a light-bodied white wine.
