Pork & Beef Meatballs

Meatballs are made from ground meat rolled into a ball. Our meatballs are made from pork and beef, but they can also be made from poultry or any other red meat. They can be cooked in a variety of ways, including frying, baking, steaming, and braising in sauce. Whichever way you decide to cook your meatballs, make sure to try out this side dish recipe for the perfect combination.

Ingredients:

• 1 whole head of garlic, top cut off and discarded
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp salt
• 1kg potatoes, peeled and chopped
• ½ cup sour cream
• ½ cup butter
• 113g cream cheese
• Salt and ground black pepper

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Celsius.

2. Place the garlic head on a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.

3. Bake for about 45 minutes, until the garlic is soft and brown.

4. Meanwhile, boil a pot of water and stir in the tablespoon of salt. Cook the potatoes for about 30 minutes until tender, and drain.

5. Transfer the potatoes to a bowl and add the sour cream, butter, cream cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes.

6. Squeeze the roasted garlic into the potato mixture and mash the potatoes until creamy.
