Ingredients:

  • 4 cups barbecue sauce
  • 4 cups apple sauce
  • 8kg baby back pork ribs
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Cayenne pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste

Method:

1. Mix the barbecue sauce and apple sauce in a bowl.

2. Place the ribs on a large sheet of aluminium foil, and rub on all sides with the salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic powder.

3. Pour the sauce on all sides to coat the ribs,

4. Seal the ribs in the foil and leave to marinade in a refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.

5. Preheat the grill on high heat.

6. Place the ribs, still in the foil, on the grill and cook for 1 hour.

7. Remove the ribs from the foil and place directly on the grill. Continue cooking for 30 minutes, basting frequently with the sauce, until the ribs are done.
